Unplugged (The Official Bootleg) is a live unplugged performance by Paul McCartney, recorded and released in 1991.Following the vastness of his world tour recently captured on Tripping the Live Fantastic, McCartney relished the opportunity to strip back his songs and appear on the acoustic-only show MTV Unplugged, which had only been on air for over a year at that point. If your computer says that the network cable is unpluged, but in fact it is plugged in, there may be a temporary software glitch. This glitch can be resolved if you restart your computer. Restarting your computer will restart all the programs that were running on it. WinRAR Unplugged is a tool for PC users that helps compress files down to manageable sizes. It's pretty easy to fill up your computer with stuff nowadays. Even if you have a huge hard drive, there's still the risk of running out of space in short order. Good thing there are file compression programs like WinRAR Unplugged to help you make some room.

When working with a MacBook or other mobile device on the go, battery life is always an issue. Thus, when lacking a power source, we usually monitor the device’s battery life and prioritize the tasks we need to complete. Fortunately, there are lots of Mac apps for tracking battery life on the App Store.

UnPlugged is a lightweight but quite versatile utility designed to notify you about the current battery life percentage and when the power cord is plugged in or out. Both OS X’s Notification Center and Grow are supported. What’s great about it is that you can adjust the notification interval based on how often you want to get alerted.

You can configure the notification frequency for two stages, one between 0% and a user-defined value and another which begins with this user-defined value and ends with 100%. For example, 0 - 50% and 50% - 100%. During the first and second intervals, you can get notifications as frequently as 1 to 25% of the device’s battery life.

In addition to this, you can tell the app to notify you when the battery charge changes on charge, discharge and on charge plus discharge. It can also alert you when the battery is fully charged, if you choose to.

Another interesting feature is the ability to disable notifications when a certain application is running. This option and all the rest can be configured from the Notification tab of the Preferences window.

Additional features include the menu bar item that offers quick access to battery charge information and the preferences, the ability to start at computer login and to select which notification service to use: the app itself in a self-contained window or via Growl or Notification Center.

In a nutshell, UnPlugged is a great and user-friendly tool that does what many users seek: to get desktop alerts of their MacBook’s battery life status. If you’re looking for such a utility, UnPlugged would make for a nice addition in your app collection.
